A Queensland, Australian & Indigenous All Star representative, Carl Webb played 187 first grade NRL matches over 10 years for Brisbane, North Queensland and Parramatta, with an additional 18 appearances for his state and country. Debuting as a rampaging young forward for the Brisbane Broncos in 2000, the former Toowoomba Clydesdale was a feared wrecking ball of a runner who played with dedication, passion and a commitment to his team mates. After a stellar career and a heavy injury toll, Carl chose to retire while playing for Parramatta in 2011.
In early 2020, Carl was diagnosed as being in the early stages of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) at the age of 39.
With a young family to support, Carl has embarked on a journey that will test his strength and resolve more than anything he had ever faced on the field. Through the support of the Men of League Foundation and the love of family and friends, Carl has chosen to fight the disease head on and will do everything he can to support others affected by MND. As Carl faces his future with an acceptance of what lies ahead, his focus is on the wellbeing of his family and the education of his children. They breed them tough in Mt Isa, and we will continue to stand by Carl’s side as he tackles the road ahead. Your donation will make a difference. Thank You.
