The Men of League Foundation’s Toowoomba Region Committee are kicking off the 2018 NRL season with Broncos legends Wayne Bennett and Alfie Langer at Clifford Park Racecourse on Saturday 17 February 2018.
Organised by the Foundation’s Toowoomba Region Committee, the afternoon is a chance for rugby league fans to hear from Broncos legends and current players before their trial game against the Gold Coast Titans at Clive Berghofer Stadium.
Men of League Foundation Queensland Manager David Shillington says that the event is a great chance for fans to hear from the team ahead of the 2018 season.
“This lunch is an exciting opportunity to meet and hear from some of the great minds of rugby league, especially for Broncos fans who will get an insight into some of the coaching tactics and where the team is heading in the new season,” said David.
“Comedian Rob Brown will be in attendance to give guests a few laughs, plus there will be lucky door prizes and multi-draw raffles.
“Funds raised from the lunch go to helping the Men of League Foundation to care for those from within the rugby league community who may have fallen on hard times and need some assistance. We help people with a range of services from visits to those who may be feeling socially isolated to household improvements and financial support,” David concluded.
If you can’t attend the Toowoomba Region Committee’s 2018 Season Kick Off on Saturday 17 February but would like to support the Foundation, you can make a donation or sign up as a member from February 2018.
