Central Coast Bowlers roll up to raise funds for the Foundation

The Wednesday morning bowlers at Woy Woy Bowling Club held their annual Men of League Foundation Day on Wednesday 27 September to coincide with the week of the NRL Rugby League Grand Final.

This was also a day to celebrate the memory of Ken McMorrow, a former member of the Club and a former first grade half back with Eastern Suburbs as well as Captain Coach of Mullumbimby on the NSW North Coast.

The Ken McMorrow trophy was won by Chris Newell, Neil Williams and Mick Burch in a closely contested event held among 70 bowlers. The Spider was won by Jake O’Dea.

Bowlers were treated to breakfast and lunch and also gave an opportunity to see how their mates are holding up. At the end of the day, a cheque for $700 was handed over to the Men of League Foundation to help care for the men, women and children. The Club intends to do it all again in 2018.

You can organise your own Community Fundraising activity to help support the Men of League Foundation. Click here to find out more.
