The Northern Sydney Committee Wellbeing officers Fred Jackson and Norm Pounder took a group of the rugby league community back to see a NSW Cup game between North Sydney and Newcastle as guests of Greg Florimo, CEO of the Bears.

Their group included Bill Hamilton, Rex Murphy, Paul Hancock, Jim Phelan, Michael Hyde, and Gary Toole.

At the same time the Old Bears past players had their reunion, with approx. 80 to 90 in attendance, some of the guests included Tim Pickup and his son Martin, Don McKinnon, Cliff Lyons, Warren Thompson, Bruce Walker, and John Gray.

John Adam, the President of the Old Bears, welcomed the past players and Men of League Foundation representatives to the day. The day was filled with good football, comradeship, and was enjoyed by all present.
