Aussie sport personalities celebrate Christmas with the Men of League Foundation

NRL 360 co-host Ben Ikin and Sunshine Coast Lightning premiership captain Geva Mentor will join the Men of League Foundation for a Christmas luncheon on Thursday 14 December at Maroochy RSL.

Organised by the Foundation’s Sunshine Coast Committee, the festive lunch will raise important funds for the Foundation and its work to care for the men, women and children of the rugby league community.

Men of League Foundation’s Queensland Manager, David Shillington, says that the committee’s Christmas Luncheon is sure to be popular and encourages everyone who loves their rugby league to come along and celebrate with them.

“Ben Ikin and Geva Mentor are two people who are very talented in their respective fields and have played at the highest level of Australian sport. They both have a wealth of experience between them so we’re hoping for some unique stories and observations from their time on the field and on the court.” said David.

“There are tickets still available to the Luncheon, which will include a three-course meal and a beverage package. There will be plenty of stories shared and Christmas festivities during the day for everyone to enjoy.

“Funds raised from the day go to helping the Men of League Foundation to care for those from within the rugby league community who may have fallen on hard times and need some assistance. We help people with a range of services from visits to those who may be feeling socially isolated to household improvements and financial support,” David concluded.
