Another outstanding Kick Off Club with the Berowra Wallabies

For the last three years, the Berowra Wallabies junior rugby league club have welcomed the Northern Sydney Men of League Foundation Committee to hold a fundraising Kick Off Club at their Clubhouse, following a gala day of rugby league at their home ground. This year was no exception with their kind invitation to hold the function at the conclusion of a top of the ladder A-Grade match between competition leaders the Narrabeen Sharks vs 4th placed Berowra Wallabies.

It was a perfect evening weatherwise and it only got better for the club when their A-Grade team defeated the table topping Sharks in a close and exciting match.

A good crowd was in attendance during the night and it was pleasing to see so many young families present. Our many thanks go to all the members of both A-Grade teams who remained after their post match awards and joined in the event wholeheartedly.

Everyone present participated in our raffle sales and the mobile phones were running hot bidding for our silent auction items, resulting in a substantial sum being raised to assist the Men of League Foundation in their activities of caring for the men, women and children of the rugby league community who are in need of assistance.

During the evening, we were continually overwhelmed by the generosity of the Club’s Executives, especially President, Adrian Gins.

On behalf of my colleagues and myself, I sincerely thank Adrian and his Executives, plus everyone present for making it another successful event.
