Allan Langer to join Foundation for fifth annual Goondiwindi golf day

Former rugby league player Allan ‘Alfie’ Langer will tee it up at the Men of League Foundation’s Goondiwindi Golf Day on Saturday 10 November at the Goondiwindi Golf Club.

The involvement of the former Queensland Maroon and Brisbane Bronco will help raise much needed funds for the Foundation. With entry for participants at $100 per team, this day is a fun, exciting experience for the Goondiwindi and rugby league communities.

A number of raffles and prizes will be presented on the day, with outstanding prizes up for grabs for the luck winners.

“This Annual Event is a great way for us to extend our connections with the local Goondiwindi community and surrounding areas,” said Men of League Foundation Queensland Manager David Shillington.

“Having a special guest of such high prestige as Alfie helps demonstrate the role that the Foundation plays in connecting the rugby league community. Although the day is ultimately about raising funds, we also want to give back to our members and supporters.

“The proceeds of what should be an amazing day will help us to grow and expand the influence of the Foundation, as well as allowing us to continue to connect with the rugby league community.

“We are very excited for the fifth Annual Goondiwindi Golf Day and know that this will be a great day for the Foundation,” Shillington concluded.
