A visit to Colin Downing

Men of League member Colin Downing was visited at St George Private Hospital on 29 Saturday October 2016 by Alan Webb, Sydney Metro Welfare Officer, and Northern Sydney Welfare Officer Ken Vessey. Colin had his left knee replacement operation a few days earlier.

He played his junior football in the South Sydney Juniors for the Chelsea United club, and was also a member of South Sydney Presidents Cup teams in 1962-64.

He played 20 reserve grade and 17 third grade games for South Sydney in 1964-1966, and played lower grades with Cronulla Sharks.

Colin was presented with a Men of League polo shirt and we wish him well with his recovery.

He thanked us for the visit and said that he was proud to be a member of such a wonderful organisation as the Men of League Foundation.
