A pair of free boots for a lifetime of rugby league memories

Rob Campbell from Casino was recently visited by his local Northern Rivers Wellbeing officers, Bob Johnson and Tony Maluta.

Rob and his wife Jenny moved to the area from Leeton around 25 years ago, where Rob grew up playing AFL as a school boy. When asked about how Rob began playing rugby league, Jenny remarked that a good friend and member of the local rugby league club promised to buy Rob a pair of boots if he came and played with them, to which Rob hasn’t looked back since.

About five years ago, Rob was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and is now in care.

The Foundation wishes both he and Jenny the best wishes for their journey ahead together.
