The Men of League Foundation are delighted to promote Round 18 of the Intrust Super Cup as ‘Men of League Round’.
Kicking off with the blockbuster Townsville Blackhawks clash against the Ipswich Jets on Saturday 14 July, the round gives rugby league fans based in Queensland an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the work the Foundation carries out through a number of various ways.
Men of League Foundation Queensland Manager David Shillington said the weekend gives a tremendous chance to celebrate the work which is done for those in need, whilst also providing an occasion for the Foundation to attract new, youthful members who love the game of rugby league.
“The Queensland Rugby League have always been great supporters of the Foundation and we are delighted that they are continuing their support again this season with a dedicated round to the Foundation,” said David.
“The round will see various activations take place at the home grounds over the duration of the weekend. Our friendly Committee Members and Wellbeing Officers will be out in force to answer any questions fans may have at our membership tents, as well as sausage sizzles, ground announcements and more.
“For the first time ever, all Hastings Deering Colts sides will wear Men of League Foundation branded socks, whilst as per in recent years, some of the First-Grade teams and Match Officials will do the same.
“All funds raised from the weekend will help the Men of League Foundation in its charter of caring for men, women and children of the rugby league community. We encourage all lovers of the game to get down to their local Intrust Super Cup ground and show their support for a fantastic cause,” David concluded.
