Rugby league stars David Tyrrell & Chris Walker will join the Men of League Foundation for a Kick Off Club on Wednesday 6 December at Broncos Leagues Club.
Organised by the Foundation’s Brisbane Committee, the event will raise important funds for the Foundation and its work to care for the men, women and children of the rugby league community.
Men of League Foundation’s Queensland Manager, David Shillington, says that the Committee’s Kick Off Club is sure to be popular and encourages everyone in the Brisbane area to come along and participate.
“David Tyrrell and Chris Walker, who have both enjoyed outstanding playing careers, will be able to provide great insights for the upcoming 2018 rugby league season and some of the off-season player movements,” said David.
“We’re nearing the end of the Rugby League World Cup, so we can expect some analysis on those game results and assessments of the finals. David and Chris have a wealth of experience between them so we’re hoping for some unique stories and observations.
“Tickets are still available to the event, which will include lunch and a beverage package. We’ll also have a memorabilia raffle throughout the day and lucky door prizes, so there will be the chance to pick up something for the pool room or man cave.
“Funds raised from the day go to helping the Men of League Foundation to care for those from within the rugby league community who may have fallen on hard times and need some assistance. We help people with a range of services from visits to those who may be feeling socially isolated to household improvements and financial support,” David concluded.
