2016: Turn the Porch Light Off!
The story of 2016 will always be the maiden title for the Cronulla Sharks. Whilst celebrating their 50th anniversary, the Sharks strung together 15 wins in a row during the season and arrived on Grand Final day with the entire Shire behind them. Standing in their way were the minor premiers and seasoned grand final veterans, the Melbourne Storm. After a tough 80 minutes, the Sharks emerged as victors 14 points to 12 and broke rugby league’s longest premiership drought. A fitting end to the season.
