The final game in the 2015 NRL season is legendary and listed in the history books for a multitude of reasons. The Brisbane Broncos against the North Queensland Cowboys saw the NRL’s first ever all Queensland grand final. The game is famously the first ever Golden Point Grand Final, the maiden Premiership for the Cowboys, the Broncos first ever Grand Final defeat and capped off a dominant year for Clive Churchill Medallist Johnathan Thurston with his fourth Dally M Medal. The final seconds try to the Cowboys, Thurston’s missed conversion attempt off the posts after full-time and then his Golden Point field goal saw the Cowboys become Premiers 17-16.
